

Manjar (Dulce de Leche)

Ingredients
- - Milk : 1 quart
- - Sugar : 1 cup
- - Vanilla Extract : 1/2 tsp
- - Baking Powder : 1/4 tsp
Instructions
1 - Bring milk, sugar, and vanilla extract to a boil in a saucepan over high heat.
2 - Reduce heat to medium-low, continue cooking, and continuously stirring until milk has thickened and turned a caramel color, about 1 hour or more.
3 - Stir in baking soda.
4 - Continue cooking until caramelized milk has reached a pudding consistency.
5 - Pour manjar into a bowl and cool completely in the refrigerator.
