Ingredients
- - Rice : 1 cup
- - Chicken Stock : 2 cups
- - Tomato Sauce : 1 cup
- - Olive Oil : 1/4 cup
- - Ground Allspice : 1/4 tsp
- - Cinnamon : 1/2 tsp
- - Onion : 1 chopped
- - Raisins : 1/2 cup
- - Dill : 1/2 cup
- - Pine Nuts : 1/2 cup
- - Lemon : Juice of 1
- - Salt : To taste
- - Pepper : To taste
Instructions
1 - Wash rice in cold water until water runs clear.
2 - Sauté onions in olive oil until tender.
3 - Add spices and stir until fragrant.
4 - Add remaining ingredients.
5 - Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer for 30 minutes until all stock is absorbed and rice is tender.
6 - Serve as a side dish or filling for dolmas.
