Ingredients
- - Self-raising Flour : 250g
- - Dark Brown Soft Sugar : 250g
- - Milk : 250g
- - Sugar : 4
- - Ginger : 1 tablespoon
- - Cardamom : 1/2 tsp
- - Baking Powder : 1 tsp
- - Salt : Pinch
Instructions
1 - Preheat the oven to 160˚C (320˚F) Line a cake pan with parchment paper and set aside.
2 - Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
3 - Place the milk in a small saucepan and heat it until it is almost boiling but not quite.
4 - Pour the milk slowly into the dry ingredients while whisking.
5 - Don't overmix! As soon as it is combined to a smooth batter you pour it into the cake pan.
